The open house was a great success. Thanks for all the clients and friends that showed up to see
the new office and how we have grown!
| ProjectXnet vs. The NYC Power Outage!
The recent Power Outage that began 8/14/2003 affected a major portion of the United States and Canada. The outage shut down
operations for millions of users and their businesses! The Cram Group's ProjectXnet Managed Hosting Service was unaffected through the entire
event. There were no interruptions to our service during the 30 hour black out in the Chelsea area of Manhattan where the ProjectXnet data
center space is located.
As a result, our clients with projects around the United States were able to continue working as usual. This
isolated their downtime to the few offices that did not have their own local power! We will be following this up next month with a case study
on the benefits of co-locating mission critical data in a high performance, managed, data center environment!
ProjectXnet V2.5!
TCG will soon be releasing V2.5 of the ProjectXnet hosted solution. The new
version includes several major enhancements:
Support for Primavera Products such as Expedition? 9.0, 8.5, P3, P3E and P3E/c.
ProjectXnet V2.5 also supports Meridian Project System's Prolog? Manager V7.X!
Enhancements to the Global Reporter (tm) that
provide Multi-Database and Multi-Application reporting. Also new is a report scheduling feature to increase speed of those reports that pull
data from a large number of databases and related applications!
Integration of the first phase of XnetTools! This provides
Company and Project specific, web-based user support forums to enable users to capture and collaborate on issues as well as continue building
a historical knowledge base.
Support for Tomcat Java Web Server and Oracle Database Server. This allows TCG to expand
the ProjectXnet service capabilities while maintaining one simple interface for client users!
Support for Web Services. This
provides options for integration with other XML enabled applications that do not reside on the same network. For example
Constructware? or SalesForce?!
